Our Classes
At The Reformer Studio, we offer a variety of classes designed to meet you wherever you are in your fitness journey. Whether you’re new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, our instructors will guide you through full-body workouts that build strength, improve flexibility, and enhance mind–body connection.
Each class is thoughtfully structured to both challenge and support you, with personalised attention in a welcoming environment. You’ll leave feeling stronger, more balanced, and re-energised. All Perth and Newport classes are listed as mixed ability, but they focus on the fundamentals to ensure they’re suitable for beginners. Any class marked with a * is exclusive to our Broughty Ferry studio, and our goal is to offer every class across all studios over time.
Beginners Reformer*
Designed for those beginning their Pilates journey, this class offers a graceful introduction to the Reformer. You’ll be attentively guided through the equipment, reformer etequit, and foundational movement. You’ll build strength, alignment and move with confidence - all at a pace that feels both supportive and empowering.
Mixed Ability Reformer
This thoughtfully paced class welcomes all levels, offering a balanced blend of strength, stretch and mindful movement. With personalised guidance and a focus on detail, you’ll move through structured sequences that build confidence, improve technique, and leave you feeling strong, supported and restored.
Dynamic Mixed Ability Reformer Pilates
Designed to energise and challenge, this faster-paced Reformer class focuses on flowing sequences, layered progressions, and deep muscle fatigue for longer lasting strength and tone. With passionate guidance and a seamless, supportive atmosphere, you’ll be encouraged to push your limits while maintaining precision. Expect those signature pilates shakes and plenty of burn.
Mixed Ability Reformer - Pilates
This carefully structured class follows a sequence rooted in the classical Pilates principles. Enhanced by contemporary bio mechanical understanding, each class focuses on engaging the deep core muscles to stabilise the spine and pelvis, promoting efficient and controlled movement. Expect a focus on precision, breath coordination, and flow, with exercises designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness. You’ll be guided through modifications and progressions to suit individual needs and abilities, ensuring a challenging yet accessible workout.
Gentle Reformer*
Unwind, lengthen and strengthen in this beautifully paced Reformer class designed to leave you feeling refreshed and renewed. With thoughtful flows, deep stretches, and graceful strength work, you’ll move in a way that feels natural, nurturing, and empowering. Perfect for those wanting to build strength with ease, release tension, and enjoy a little extra care along the way.
Pre Natal Friendly - Mixed Ability Reformer*
Pregnancy is powerful — and so are you. This luxurious, tailored Reformer class offers everything you would expect from our signature mixed ability sessions: strength, stretch, control, and flow — with pre planned thoughtfully modified movement to support your changing body. Expect a full, rewarding workout with expert guidance, designed to leave you feeling strong, confident, and deeply connected to yourself throughout every stage of pregnancy.
Post Natal Reformer*
A beautiful, nurturing space for new mums to rebuild strength, reconnect with their bodies, and move with confidence — all with your little one by your side if you wish. This gentle yet effective Reformer class focuses on core restoration, postural support, and mindful movement, tailored to the needs of postpartum recovery. Expect a welcoming atmosphere, thoughtful guidance, and a little luxury woven into every moment — because you deserve it.
Barre Burn*
A vibrant, full-body workout blending the precision of Pilates with the energy of barre — designed to strengthen, sculpt, and stretch in all the right places. This class layers elegant movement with powerful technique, creating a session that’s as uplifting as it is effective. Expect a graceful burn, a serious glow, and that signature feeling of leaving taller, stronger, and totally recharged.
Mixed Ability Initiate Reformer
These dynamic classes are led by an insured apprentice instructor currently completing their certification and are offered at a slightly reduced rate for a limited time. Sessions can be booked using an Initiate Credit.
Expect intelligently sequenced movement, layered progressions, and deep muscle activation designed to challenge and energize. With a focus on control, alignment, and the signature Pilates shakes, these classes build lasting strength, tone, and body awareness. Open to all levels.
ReforMat*
This hybrid class combines the strength and resistance of the reformer with the precision and depth of mat pilates. By moving between both, you’ll refine your technique, build strength and stability, and develop greater body awareness. Suitable for all levels, this carefully structured classifiers a balanced, full-body approach to Pilates - helping you move stronger, smarter and more resilient in every session.
ReformBarre*
This hybrid class is the perfect blend of Pilates precision and barre burn. ReformBarre combines the strength core control and alignment focus of the reformer with the high energy, small muscle sculpting of barre.
Intermediate/Advanced Dynamic Reformer - Pilates*
Everything you love about dynamic and then some. this class pushes you further with minimal rest, smoother transitions and challenging spring tensions to build strength, tone and endurance. Every movement requires control and precision, refining technique while working at a higher intensity. Suitable for clients who have completed 20+ mixed ability classes. You’ll leave stronger more empowered and fully engaged in your practise.
Intermediate/Advanced Reformer - Pilates*
Designed for clients who are ready to take their practise to the next level. With a focus on precision, control and strength, you’ll move through challenging repertoire that deepen core connection, refines technique, and tests both physical and mental focus. This premium level class is recommended for those who have completed 20+ mixed-ability sessions and are ready to experience, authentic, advanced reformer Pilates.
